Ponte da Arrábida mid afternoon. Arrábida is one of the six bridges in Porto. Conceived by Edgar Cardoso, had the biggest concrete arch at the time. Everybody was saying that it was going to fall, but he'd already tried the model a few kilometers up river on a smaller size. Both bridges are still standing :)

Angel's devilish smile at Capela das Almas in Rua de Santa Catarina. Although the azulejos look from the XVIII century, they're actually from 1929. Eduardo Leite was the artist behind the composition and one funny thing is that he mixed two Catarinas on his tiles, Santa Catarina of Siena and Santa Catarina of Alexandria.

Porto and it's surrounding city's were always great producers of canned goods, specifically fish. The ones in the picture are from a very interesting project called Central Conserveira Invicta and they are simply delicious. From top left to bottom right: Sardines with garlic (Fantasporto special edition); sardines with olive oil and oregano; anchovies; tuna with spicy oil; sardines with curry.

Meet the Francesinha! There's an endless discussion where to eat the best Francesinha. We think we found one that goes directly to best 3! FYI it's a sandwich with bread, grilled steak, fresh sausage, Two different kinds of chouriço, ham, baloney, and cheese on top. This one as an egg on top (extra). Then you dress it with a tomato based spicy gravy. You can call it cholesterol.

Ehkal at Judiaria do Olival. The Ekhal it's the place to keep the sacred scrolls in the synagogue. This one was from a secret synagogue that functioned in Porto after the Jews were expelled in 1487. It's a big piece of the Jewish history that can still be found in the city.

Close to Casa da Música, the big and super modern concert hall, you can spot a big column at the center of a garden. It's a victory celebration of the Peninsular Wars. French Imperial army tried to conquest Portugal and Spain and lost. The last thing you need to know is: the lion symbolizes Iberia crushing the imperial eagle.

19th century door knockers are a must in Porto's urban landscape. If you pay attention, here and there, you'll find some cool examples. A photo of tiles of a photo.
Palácio de Cristal is one of the city parks. It's called like this(Crystal Palace) because of a iron and glass structure that existed here till 1951, when it was demolished to build the Sports Pavillion known as Pavilhão Rosa Mota, the huge dome building which you can spot from various places through the city.
It's still a big issue in the city, because everybody still thinks that the old building was better than the actual one.
Nowadays, in the park, you can admire some sculptures, nice gardens, and nice river views. At the dome building there's frequent events like book markets, children activities or concerts.
During summer you can watch live concerts. There's also a public library and, close by, the Romantic Museum and Quinta da Macierinha (a farm).
